Domingo Embrujado
Halloween came to Escazú
early as the streets of
San Antonio de Escazú
were filled with magic
and colour during a
celebration of "Domingo
Embrujado" (Bewitched
Sunday).
The celebration was
appropriate to be held
in Escazú as it is known
as the "cuidad de la
Brujas" (city of
Witches). Even their
soccer team is called "Brujas".
Live music , parades,
artisans, sports and the
traditional "mascaradas"
filled the streets
bringing a smile to the
young and old.
The activity was
organized and sponsored
by the municipality of
Escazú and the Comité
Cantonal de Deportes y
Recreación.
