Bilingual Job Fair
Begins Today
Some 15 big companies
are looking to fill
about 2.000 jobs with
English speaking
employees at a job fair
that begins today and
runs until Saturday.
The job fair is the
third annual organized
by the Centro Cultural
Costarricense-Norteamericano
(CCCN) - Costa
Rican-North American
Cultural Centre - and
expect 3.000
applications to visit
the three day event,
triple of last year's
turnout.
Hewelett-Packard and
Intel along with Sykes,
Phillip Morris,
TeleTech,
Manpower,
Procter&Gamble, BATCA,
HSBC, Techdata,
Datascension, Stream,
Boston Scientific, CFC
International, Optimus
Outsourcing Solutions,
STT and Adecco
will be taking part in
the event, all in the
search for bilingual
employees to fill
positions in customer
service, administration
and technical support,
among others.
Karl Schmack, executive
director of the CCCN,
said that some of the
companies are there for
the third year in a row,
which gives rise to
confidence that the fair
is a good opportunity
for both business and
potential employees to
seek out each other.
The fair also includes
forums by the different
companies on the types
of positions being
offered and employees
sought and applicants
can leave their
curriculum vitae on a
CD, upload by USB or
send their applications
by email.
The event is being held
in Barrio Dent, 50
metres west and 150
metres north of the
Automercado Los Yoses
and opens its doors at
9am today and tomorrow
and 11am on Saturday.
