High School Summer Program Offered in Costa Rica
Interamerican University Studies Institute is offering a partial scholarship to high- schoolers interested in a study-abroad program to Costa Rica next summer.

The Costa Rica Pura Vida! combines Spanish language instruction, individual homestays and field trips to three areas of the country.

Students will visit national parks, a marine biology sanctuary, a village of 12 families in the midst of the Cloud Forest and birds, animals and tropical flora.

Those eligible to participate are high-schoolers between 15 and 17 years old who have taken two years of basic Spanish and a biology class by June 2009.

Two sessions are available and run from June 26 to July 22, and from July 10 to Aug. 5.

The deadline to apply for the $3,466 partial scholarship - which covers about two-thirds of the cost - is Dec. 5.

The priority application deadline is Feb. 6.

For information or application materials, visit www.iusi.org or call (800) 345-4874.
