Children And Youths With
Their Own Debit Card
The BAC San José bank is
setting it sights on
young customers, issuing
a special debit card for
those between the ages
of 7 and 12 and 13 and
17.
The debit card is called
"Mi Cuenta BAC".
The BAC is using the
debit card as a way to
foment a "savings habit"
among the young and can
be opened with a minimum
of ˘10.000 colones
(us$19.37).
Although the card cannot
be used to make
purchases, it can be
used to obtain discounts
at local merchants like
movie theatres and
retailers.
