Refutes Rightist Media
Attacks

President Evo Morales
said Friday he had grown
tired of the media
manipulation and the
attacks against his
administration.
The president said he
would rather skip the
media owned by the
rightist businessmen and
politicians and keep
direct contact with the
people, according to
information reaching
here from La Paz, the
administrative capital
of Bolivia.
"I don't need press
conferences, I have
other forms of
communication, from
mouth to mouth ... that
is the best way of
communication," Morales
told a public gathering.
There have been reports
implicating Presidency
Minister Juan Quintana
in smuggling 33 trucks
in the Amazon region of
Pando.
Governmental
Coordination Vice
Minister Sacha Llorenti
said that the media
owners have used the
media to attack Morales
with information based
on slanders.
The people must learn to
deal with "the lies of
the opposition media"
before the approval of
the new Political
Constitution of the
State (CPE), said
Justice Minister Celinda
Torrico.
