PANAMA - The 13th
Meeting of the
Bi-national Commission
to be held on September
1-2 will focus on
relations between Panama
and Colombia.
According to Foreign
Ministry sources the
meeting will allow
monitoring several
existing initiatives in
development and
cooperation.
The delegations will be
head by Foreign Affairs
Ministers from Colombia
Jaime Bermudez and
Panama Samuel Lewis, who
will come with officials
and experts from
different sectors.
Regarding the forum
Lewis assured that they
will analyze bilateral
relations and energy
complementation.
The latter includes a
gas pipeline to Panama,
taking into account
Colombia and Venezuela
experience in this
field.
The Neighborhood
Commission, founded in
1992, is aimed at
finding solutions in
branches like migration,
development of
infrastructure and
natural resources.
