Cuba to Rock on May Day
Over 1,100 unionists, parliamentarians, politicians, members of social and progressive movements and academics from all continents will celebrate May Day along with the Cuban people.

A note from the Workers' Central Union of Cuba (CTC), states that most of visitors are from the Americas and Europe, and will bring here message of support of the Revolution.

Workers from Panama, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia highlighted in this capital Thursday the Cuban people's resistance to the economic blockade United States has been imposing on the island for almost 50 years.

According to official figures, that US policy, rejected by mostly UN countries, has caused Cuba losses valued at over $89 billion.

CTC International Relations Department chief Ernesto Freyre said that the population's basic needs are guaranteed, despite the US siege.
