Central America to Meet in Solidarity with Cuba
Panamanian humanitarian organizations on Thursday convoked the First Central American Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, to be held October 10-12 in the Panamanian city of Santiago de Veraguas.

Meeting participants will deal with issues relating to support for the Caribbean nation, which has resisted the US government's hostile and genocidal policy for almost half a century, said the Costa Rican Committee of Solidarity with Cuba.

A message from the Costa Rican Committee of Solidarity with Cuba said the meeting will be sponsored by its counterpart in Panama together with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.

With this call, we hope to effect our promise to strengthen friendly relations with the sister Republic of Cuba, faced with an increase of the empire's harassment and threats, committee members said.

Organizational and logistic details will follow, said the message, which called Central American people to contribute initiatives to extend the struggle in favor of the Cuban Revolution's sustainability.
