First Day of Festival
Imperial A Success!
Almost 27.000 fans
enjoyed the music of the
first night of the
Festival Imperial at the
autodromo La Guacima.
The festival kicked off
at 10:00am when race
track located west of
the airport was
transformed into a rock
concert venue.
Yesterday (Saturday)
Incubus, Gallo Pinto,
Café Tacuba and the
Smashing Pumpkins took
stage. Today (Sunday),
the headliners are
Enrique Iglesias, Seal
and Duran Duran,
scalpers outside the
makeshift stadium were
asking up to ˘30.000
colones for cheapest
seats.
Taking part in the event
was also Carolina
Raměrez, star of the
soap opera the "La hija
del mariachi". Carolina,
half way to the Guacima
had the helicopter pilot
turn back to get her
sweater she had left
behind at the hotel. |
