It Won't Be As Cold
Starting Today
Ok, it's time to put
away the jacket, but
don't let the umbrella
stray too far, as the
cold spell that gripped
the Central Valley all
week starts to diminish
today, according to the
Instituto Meteorológico
Nacional (IMN) - the
national weather
service.
A cold front from
Honduras affected the
Central Valley, the
Northern Zone and the
Caribbean, bringing with
it cool winds and lots
of clouds since Monday.
The maximum temperature
recorded in San José
yesterday was 21
Celsius, down from the
season norm of 28
Celsius.
Although the Guanacaste
area did not suffer the
drop in temperature, it
did get winds of up to
60 Kilometres per hour
as recorded in Liberia.
The cold front meant
lower temperatures but
little to no rain in
most parts of the
Central Valley.
The IMN says that the
cool temperatures could
continue into the
weekend, especially in
the high altitude areas,
but not as cold as the
past week.
