Google Denies Plans For Costa Rica
Following the announcement on Wednesday that Google had its sights on Costa Rica, the internet giant yesterday denied any such plans.

The announcement that Google had decided to set up an office in Costa Rica was made by Casa Presidencial on Wednesday after Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias, had met with Google officials at the World Economic Forum on Latin America being held in Cancun, Mexico.

Google's corporate communications and public affairs director for Latin America, Alberto Arébalos, told the EFE news wire service that for the moment Google was not planning any regional headquarters in Costa Rica, though it wants to improve its customer service in the country.

Google's plans were front page in all the major dailies.
