Interpol In Search of 15
Fugitives Hiding Out in
Costa Rica
The international police
organization, Interpol,
said it expects in the
next three months 15
international fugitive
thought to be hiding out
in Costa Rica
According to the
director of Interpol in
Costa Rica, the
criminals sought are
wanted for crimes of
murder, drug
trafficking, fraud and
abuse of minors.
Interpol's director
Sandi said they his
organization is working
with the Organismo de
Investigación Judicial (OIJ)
and the Fuerza Pública,
along with the efforts
of the Dirección de
Inteligencia y Seguridad
Nacional (DIS), of the
Ministerio de la
Presidencia, to bring
the 15 to justice.
Interpol refuses to give
details and the identity
of the foreigners they
are after, adding that
the majority are wanted
by U.S. authorities,
three of which are
wanted for murder and
three others for
violation and abuse of
minors and four others
are being sought on drug
trafficking charges.
Interpol authorities
believe the fugitives
are living "a low
profile" life mainly in
the coastal areas of the
Pacific and Caribbean.
Last week a woman
identified as Lyn, was
wanted in the U.S. was
the lasted detainee. |
