Panama Values Cuban
Orthopedics
Despite limitations
generated by the US
economic blockade Cuba
produces first-class
medicine, asserted
Panamanian expert Carlos
Pareja during the
International
Orthopedics Congress in
Cuba.
In declarations, the
chief of orthopedics
from the Rafael
Hernandez Hospital
praised the achievments
of the island regarding
orthopedics, especially
the "excellent quality"
internal-fixing
technique.
This orthopedic system
introduced by the island
helped many nations face
natural disasters,
assured the scientist.
Extended to over 30
nations, RALCA
external-fixing includes
cemented and
non-cemented prostheses
and spare prosthesis.
In the expert's opinion,
Cuba has a very well
trained medical staff
which is respected all
over the world, as a
result of a social model
capable of prioritizing
the poorest sectors.
Pareja is one of the
main speakers to the
Forum that is taking
place in this Cuban
western municipality
with the presence of 300
delegates. |
