Feed High Prices Shoot up Food in El Salvador
The rise in prices of the yellow corn-based food for birds caused chicken and eggs prices to rise, Salvadorian Commissioner for Agriculture and Livestock Carmen Elena Diaz confirmed Tuesday.

According to different sources, the price of a carton o eggs has increased in four dollars on average, and a chicken pound in 0, 25 cents.

Businessmen began to express their worry, since their falls in sales.

The raw material of concentrate for the production of feed increased its price in more than 80 percent.

Diaz pointed out yellow corn rise in prices is given on a worldwide scale, since it has been used to produce ethanol.
