Cuba Elections in Second Stage
Representatives of Cuban civil society and members of the Commissions of Candidacies will meet with the municipal delegates, previous to the postulation of the candidates to deputies and provincial delegates of the People's Power.

Parliamentarian sources indicated that in the next days the teamsin the 169 municipalities of the country will offer information on the selection of pre candidates, as well as what is established according to Law in relation to the nominations to cover the positions.

According to Granma paper, those contacts are independent of the consultations on the elaborated proposals, since more than half of current representatives of the neighborhoods are new and they must be prepared.

This second stage of Cuban general elections implements full democratic principles like electoral law, structure and the functions of the commissions of candidacies, the newspaper reads.

The groups are composed of representatives of workers, women, neighborhood watch groups, farmers, senior high and university students, that is to say, by all the main organizations of the Cuban people.
