Earthquake Rattles Poás
An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook the area surrounding Poás Volcano Saturday morning.

According to a statement from the Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (OVSICORI) - Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica - based at Universidad Nacional (UNA) in Heredia.

The quake hit at 9:11am and was felt in the areas of San José, Alajuela, the Cental Pacific and Cartago.
