Veranillo
Came and Went, Says
Weatherman
The much expected "Veranillo
de San Juan", according
to the weather experts,
came and went, taking
them by surprise.
The veranillo is a break
from the rain of the
rainy season that occurs
every year near the end
of June and can last up
to three or four weeks.
The weatherman had
predicted that the
veranillo was upon us
last week, but just as
fast as it came, it also
went, according to
meteorologist, Berny
Fallas.
"We thought it would not
happen, but it came
earlier than its
traditional
occurrence...", said
Fallas, as low pressure
system from Panama
washed away the
veranillo.
The weatherman says that
during the coming days
the weather will go back
to the normal rainy
season conditions, sunny
bright mornings and
afternoon showers and
thunderstorms.
