Latin American Youth for More
Integrity
Young people from Bolivia,
Argentina, Chile Peru,
Switzerland, Venezuela and Cuba
fought for more integration and
the implementation of social
programs focus on health and
education.
Participants to the First
International Meeting of
Progressive Governments´
Political Youth highlighted the
importance of the agreements of
the Bolivarian Alternatives of
Americas (ALBA) and the Peoples´
Trade Treaty (PTT).
They also condemned neoliberal
policies and Free Trade Treaties
US boost in the region to the
detriment of small producers and
underdeveloped nations.
The delegates pledged themselves
for more unity, within the youth
organizations, in defense of
sovereignty and respect of
indigenous peoples´ cultural
diversity.
They also backed Bolivian
President Evo Morales´ process
of changes.
In the forum, ending on Monday
with a final declaration, the
participants emphasized the need
of boosting free programs of
medical assistance and
education.
Ronal Garabito, Youth President
of the ruling Movement Towards
Socialism (MAS) told Prensa
Latina that the International
Meeting is aimed at proving that
"a new ideology is to be
consolidated in the South
American countries,."
The youth met Bolivian foreign
Minister David Choquehuanca on
Sunday deepening in the
so-called peoples´ diplomacy
that benefits a wide and
selflessly cooperation among
nations. |
