Venezuela Denounces US Blockade
Despite US dependence on Venezuelan oil, the South American country is under threat of blockade by the Government of President George W. Bush, Venezuelan Minister of Science and Technology, Hector Navarro, said.

He noted that the US has already banned the transfer of US spare parts for F-16 fighter planes and the sale of electronic components and books on strategic topics.

"The Bolivarian process is threatened with blockade, there are clear signs of a Venezuelan siege by the empire," asserted Navarro in an interview with local Todos Adentro weekly.

In his opinion, the reason for the threat stems from Venezuela"s willingness to construct Socialism.

Venezuela supplies over one million barrels of oil to the US on a daily basis, which will be cut off in case of a US aggression to the South American country, as warned by President Hugo Chavez.
