Chavez
in Cuba
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias began a
work visit in Cuba at the invitation of
Commander in Chief Fidel Castro under the
brotherhood and solidarity that binds both
countries.
The National TV mid-day newscast says Chavez was
welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport
by Carlos Lage Davila, vice president of the
Council of States.
Also present were Foreign Minister Felipe Perez
Roque and Cuban Ambassador to Venezuela German
Sanchez Otero.
Among other, Chavez will meet with President
Fidel Castro and Defense Minister, Army General
Raul Castro Ruz.
