Parliaments Cooperate

The 11th Cuba-Panama
Inter-Parliamentary
Group began sessions
Wednesday presided over
by top legislative
representatives from
both nations.
Cuban People's Power
National Assembly
(Parliament) President
Ricardo Alarcon leads
the island's delegation,
which was warmly
welcomed by his
Panamanian counterpart
and host Elias Castillo.
The Group leader Deputy
Carlos Alvarado was very
satisfied with the
course of Cuban
collaboration programs
with his nation,
particularly in health,
education and sports.
Thursday's agenda
includes a report on
bilateral accords, an
analysis on
international situations
of common interest and
conclusions in a Joint
