"Charlie" Proposes in
Costa Rica
Actor Charlie Sheen has
announced his engagement
to Brooke Mueller, a
former actress who is
now an estate agent.
The 41-year-old proposed
on a recent trip to
Costa Rica, where he
gave Ms. Mueller an
11-carat natural yellow
diamond ring valued at
us$300.000.
The star of comedy Two
and a Half Men met the
29-year-old last year at
a party hosted by
director Brett Ratner.
Sheen was married to
actress Denise Richards
for three years before
they divorced last year.
Richards filed for
divorce and took out a
restraining order
against the Platoon
star, claiming physical,
verbal and drug abuse
and compulsive gambling.
Sheen insisted the
allegations were false.
He was permitted to see
their two children one
day a week during
supervised visits.
He is the son of West
Wing actor Martin Sheen
and brother of actor and
director Emilio Estevez.
Mueller had a small role
in 2004 film drama A
Love Song for Bobby
Long.
