Compare Prices, MEC Advises
Consumers are being
advised to shop around
for the Christmas
season, as prices can
vary up to 300% for the
same item at different
retail stores.
The advice comes from
the Ministerio de
Economía (MEC), who
continually does a price
check on a number of
items throughout the
year that includes food
prices, appliances and
services.
During December the MEC
focuses on toys,
comparing "barbie"
dolls, for example at a
number of large retail
