Mother's Day Back on
August 15th
Legislative deputies
yesterday approved in
second debate the
reforms to the law that
will move Mother's Day
back to its original
day, August 15th,
beginning in 2008.
The change to celebrate
Mother's Day on the
following Monday if it
fell during the week met
with strong resistance
during the past two
years when the previous
government made the
move.
The change in 2005 also
affected the holidays of
11 April, 25 July and 12
October.
So, for 2008, all the
holidays will be
celebrated on the day
the fall and not the
following Monday. |
