Ruptured Water Main
Causes Traffic Havoc
A broken water pipe that
runs under the bridge
100 metres west of Casa
Presidencial in Zapote
forced the closure of
the lanes of the
Circunvalación between
San Pedro and Zapote
last night.
The ruptured water main
looked like a waterfall
coming off the bridge,
flooding the road below
and forcing traffic to
be rerouted over the
bridge and back onto the
highway.
Work crews were expected
to repair the broken
water main early this
morning, though not in
time to avoid the
massive morning rush
hour traffic.
