Ecuadorians to Present Fidel Castro with Indigenous Staff
An Ecuadorian youth delegation which traveled to Cuba on Sunday will present Cuban President Fidel Castro with an indigenous ceremonial staff, the highest symbol of indigenous power.

The emblematic power instrument was granted by the Sachila nationality during an indigenous ritual carried out in the city of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, east from Quito.

Leaders of the Youth Coordinating Committee of Friendship with the Island were the repositories of this present, which has been brought by 101 Ecuadorians who will attend the world event for the release of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in US prisons on Apr 29-30.
