Salvador Deputy for Operation Miracle
The Operation Miracle, boosted by Cuba and Venezuela to give back sight to millions of Latin Americans, is today a proof of revolutionary humanism, deputy Salvador Ceren asserted.

The Salvadorian Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) legislative bloc head reported, before hundreds of followers that the benefits of this initiative have reached almost the whole continent, even the US people.

He recalled that more than 3,000 poor Salvadorians underwent free surgery on cataracts and granulated tissue in Cuban and Venezuelan hospitals.

All this is happening while the Great Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) government in El Salvador has totally forgotten public hospitals.

"Although huge credits were approved for health services, the necessary equipment was never bought and the buildings were never repaired," he said.

Thus, people appreciate much more the opportunity to solve serious eye problems through Operation Miracle, in which they are assisted, no matter their religious beliefs or political thoughts.
