Kiana Resorts Named a “Top 100
Vacation Dream Home” by Travel +
Leisure Magazine
Travel + Leisure magazine has
named Kiana Resort in Punta
Dominical one of its “Top 100
Vacation Dream Homes” for 2007.
The magazine chose Kiana, a new
world-class boutique resort
opening in late 2007 on the
pristine Costa Rican oceanfront,
as one of its top 100 real
estate developments for
travelers seeking the ultimate
home away from home.
Kiana will appeal to Travel +
Leisure readers, who are some of
the world’s most seasoned
travelers, with its luxury
amenities and services in a
serene, remote getaway, steps
from one of the wildest places
on earth.
The beachfront resort is an
intimate escape comprising just
26 fully serviced luxury
vacation residences. Owners and
visitors to Kiana’s 1,500-square
foot “suitcase ready” (fully
furnished and turnkey) villas
will enjoy amenities such as a
full service spa, oceanfront
gourmet restaurant, four pools
and a fitness gym, all
surrounded by a nature preserve
filled with chattering monkeys
and other exotic wildlife.
The resort’s location, set amid
more than 2,000 acres of
mountainous rainforest as well
as 1,000 feet of some of the
world’s most spectacular
coastline, will enable Kiana
owners to stroll out their door
to nearly empty beaches or
explore the jungle and all the
wonders it holds.
This unique setting helped Kiana
stand out among vacation homes
throughout the world, since the
resort eschews the usual golf
course proximity and instead
embraces outdoor activities such
as surfing, horseback rides
through the jungle, canopy
tours, sunning on the beach, and
trips to the Osa Peninsula.
Kiana’s architecture and
interior design was inspired by
local palm plantations with teak
detailing and custom pieces by
local artists, and also appealed
to the Travel + Leisure panel
that selected properties for the
distinguished list.
