Venezuela to Control Both
Private, Public Health
Institutions
Health Ministry Erick Rodriguez
Saturday highlighted Venezuelan
State is in legal capacity to
regulate both private and public
institutions of such an
important area.
Rodriguez announced the
preparation of joint actions
with Finance Ministry, headed to
put a stop to prices increase in
health private services,
reported Bolivarian News Agency
Saturday.
In the control activity
Insurance Superintendence,
Commission for the
Administration of Currency
Exchange CADIVI and National
Integrated Service of Customs
and Tax Administration SENIAT
will also participate.
Rodriguez questioned the fact
that the prices of medicines or
surgical materials amount to 100
and even 200 percent, when the
service is provided inside a
hospital, despite considering
health services as vital human
rights.
We are not interested in
expropriating those
institutions, but we do want to
ensure that the law is upheld,
he expressed.
