11 foreign hikers missing in Chile's southern mountain range
Eleven foreign hikers were reported missing on the Puyehue volcano in southern Chile's Decima region, police said Friday.

The tourists, eight Israelis, two Swiss and one American, started to hike up the mountain last week and should have reported to their camp Tuesday.

Police have begun a search, but bad weather conditions have so far hampered efforts. Talks have also begun with the Chilean Air Force to help with the search.

Three tourists from Israel became lost in the same region last December and were rescued five days later at an altitude of 1,500 meters.
