Nicaraguan Exports Rise in 2007
Exports from Nicaragua increased
by 60 million dollars in the
first three months of 2007
compared to the same period last
year, according to the
Nicaraguan Center for Export and
Investment (CEI).
La Prensa daily quoted CEI as
reporting the total value of
exports in the first three-month
period of this year reached 328
million dollars.
Last year, Nicaraguan exports
reported 268 million dollars in
the same period.
The president of the Nicaraguan
Association of Producers and
Exporters, Enrique Zamora, said
that the most important export
products so far this year were
beans, cattle, meat, dairy
products, and cane sugar.
