Optimism On The Rise
The number of Costa Ricans who believe that the overall condition of the country has improved is now 10 times larger now than last November.

This optimism also reaches those who believe that the economy of the nation is going to be better a year from now, whose number doubled.

Also increasing is the number of citizens who see improvement in personal and family income.

While last November 26 percent expected to be better a year later, the figure is now 41 percent.

The data surfaced in the most recent survey by Unimer for the daily La Nación.

The study also found that the major problems that worry Ticos –such as the high cost of living and unemployment– remain at the top, but their impact is lessening. On the other hand, insecurity, violence, and drug addiction show a fast increase.
