Traffic Accidents Continue  Adding To Violent Deaths
Traffic accidents, caused mainly by speeding and the heavy rains of the season, continue to claim lives.

Several accidents around San José this weekend added more victims  to the long list of deaths this month alone.

In one completely avoidable death, 25 year old Marvin Ernesto Quintana González, was hit by a car when attempted to cross the Circunvalación in Hatillo, only metres from a pedestrian crossing bridge. The slippery road and traffic did not allow the driver of the late model Mercedez to avoid contact with the man.

In Heredia, near the Puente Salas, in the early hours of Sunday morning, a vehicle lost control and slammed into the wall of a house leaving four injured, one seriously.

And in a separate accident in 100 metres north of Pizza Hut in Paseo Colón, the same exact location of a serious accident earlier in the week, and in the same fashion, a car failed to make the stop and got rammed by a bus crossing the intersection. The driver was trapped for some time in the vehicle.

On Ruta 32, the main highway that connects San José with Limón, a passenger vehicle slammed head on with a tractor trailer.

In another accident 4 kilometres outside of  San Isidro, the route to Dominical, a truck carrying salt left the road and took the life of the driver and seriously injured the passenger.

And the list of fatal accidents continue, as drivers fail to slow down as the road become slippery from the heavy rain, fail to obey traffic signals and use extreme caution and common sense where traffic signals are failing or non-existent.
