Chavez Preference Growing
The Venezuelan electoral outlook, dominated by the numerous activities of two dozen presidential candidates and the existence of a new roll, Saturday shows Hugo Chavez still on top of the list.

Surveys released this week reflected an advantage of at least 40 percent for the present Venezuelan statesmen over his closest contender, the opposition representative Manuel Rosales.

The survey carried out by the Datanalisis Company favored Chavez with a vote intention of 58.2 percent while IVAD pollster said he was at 76.9 percent.

Rosales is getting between 16 and 17.4 percent, but some experts have expressed their doubts on the possibility that he remain in the race until December 3.
