Toyota Seeks Teachers For Costa
Rica Tour
Toyota is looking for teachers
to travel, all expenses paid, to
Costa Rica for a study tour.
Applications are being accepted
from full-time secondary
education teachers in
Pennsylvania, Arizona,
California, Florida, Iowa,
Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas
and Wisconsin. The deadline is
Oct. 9. Applicants must be
American citizens.
Toyota will pay for
transportation, meals, lodging
and program materials. It also
will provide $500 to the
teacher's home school for a
substitute, or materials to help
relate the Costa Rica experience
to students.
The automaker has contributed
us$258 million since 1991 to
philanthropic programs in the
U.S., with nearly 50 percent
supporting education through its
Toyota International Teacher
Program.
