Nicaraguans Offered Free Trip To
Home To Vote
The Nicaraguan embassy in San
José announced yesterday that it
will offer a free bus ride to
all Nicaraguans who want to vote
in the November 5 presidential
elections.
The offer is being made to all
Nicaraguans who have residency
in Costa Rica and apply before
November 2. However, the embassy
is asking those interested to
make their request as soon as
possible, as space is limited,
but not saying the exact number
of people it will offer the free
ride.
Nicaraguans who have a valid
Nicaraguan "cédula", even if it
is expired and have a Costa
Rican residency "cédula" qualify
for the free round trip to
Nicaragua.
Nicaraguans with an expired
cédula can renew it in Costa
Rica by visiting the Consulado
General de la República de
Nicaragua.
