Ortega for Spiritual Revolution
in Nicaragua
Sandinista National Liberation
Front (FSLN) leader Daniel
Ortega, still in the lead
fourteen days before the
November 5 elections, has
promised to undertake a
spiritual revolution in
Nicaragua if he wins the
presidency.
Saturday evening, in a rally in
a Managua neighborhood, Ortega
stressed that the only way
possible to wipe out poverty
affecting 80 percent of the
Nicaraguans is working together,
in peace and reconciliation.
The runner also assured that the
youth will be in charge of
carrying out the necessary
changes in the nation and 50
percent of the women will hold
public posts if the FSLN
achieves the electoral triumph.
The mass act is part of Ortega´s
daily country-trotting to
explain his government program.
