MedTech Inaugurates New Facility
in Costa Rica
The MedTech Group, Inc, a
leading full service contract
manufacturer of medical devices
and components, inaugurated the
opening of its new 25,000 square
foot plant in Costa Rica -
MedTech Costa Rica, S.A.
“Our Costa Rican facility will
provide clean room injection
molding and assembly services to
our customers in that region.
Our goal is to provide our
customers the highest possible
level of service with the most
advanced technology, at a
reasonable cost”, states George
Blank, President of The MedTech
Group.
“Costa Rica has been on our
radar screen for some time.
While the community of
healthcare customers there is
small, we believe that Costa
Rica will gradually develop, and
we are making a strategic
investment at this time".
At the inauguration ceremony,
MedTech said that it is alreadt
planning for an expantion with
an additional investment of us$2
million dollars and 50 more
jobs. Currently MedTech employs
55 people in the Costa Rican
plant.
Present at the inauguration
ceremony was Costa Rican
president Oscar Arias, the
ministe for foreign trade, Marco
Vinicio Ruiz and the general
director of CINDE, Edna Camacho.
