Panama Wants Health Official Out
Health Minister Camilo Alleyne
and the director of the safety
deposit fund (CSS) Rene Luciani
will be deeply questioned by
different Panamanian sectors
that demand their resignation
regarding the poisoned medicine
case.
The last person to join the
criticism was the CSS ex chief
Francisco Sanchez who does not
agree with the idea that an
economist rule the institution.
Many ask if the crisis triggered
by poisoned medicine that caused
48 deaths could have been better
handled by a specialist doctor
than an economist like Luciani.
A poll made by Dichter Neira
firm revealed that most
Panamanians reject both
officials procedures.
According to the poll over 70
percent of the people demand
both leaders resignations.
President Martin Torrijos did
not dismiss them after he
announced a health reform a few
days ago.
