Venezuela to Invite Election
Observers
The Venezuelan Electoral Council
(CNE) has agreed to invite
international observers for the
presidential elections on
December 3, when the leader for
the coming six years will be
elected.
According to a release issued
Thursday, the schedule for the
discussion of proposals
presented by candidates and
political organizations that
attended the talks at the CNE
headquarters has been fixed.
The program grouped the topics
for discussion in three stages,
with the latter to conclude July
15.
Meeting several requests, the
CNE has agreed to establish a
mechanism linking the entity and
parties, aimed at having open
communication during the
process.
