Cuban Culture Minister in Brazil
Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto is meeting Saturday in this capital with Brazilian intellectuals during his second day of visit here.

On Friday, Prieto held talks with a group of cultural figures sympathetic with Cuba, in which he analyzed aspects on the Cuban reality and established priorities for current situations.

Prieto invited Brazilian intellectuals to attend festivals like the New Latin American Cinema festival, Havana Biennial, theater and other cultural activities taking place in Cuba.

He stated that the Cubans are in a good cultural moment because the country's economic situation has been improved.

Nevertheless, he lamented the new Washington measures to try to destroy the island's social process.

Prieto reminded of the criminal US adventure against Iraq and invasion perpetrated by its Israeli allies against Palestine and Lebanon.
