Interamericana Sur Will Closed
Tomorrow
If
you are travelling to or from
the southern zone, be advised
that a
spokespersons for the Ministerio
de Obras Públicas y Transportes
(MOPT) and the Consejo Nacional
de Vialidad (Conavi) announced
yesterday that a portion of the
Interamericana Sur will be
closed tomorrow for 12 hours.
The closure will be at kilometre
336 and will choke off all
vehicular traffic.
The closure to install a sewer
pipe to allow for proper
drainage.
Due to the heavy rains of the
past week, the road has become
dangerous, placing drivers at
risk as the roadway
deteriorating even more as the
existing sewer pipe is damaged
and does not drain the water
from the area.
Officials hope that the work can
be carried out within the 12
hours timeframe.
