2005,
Successful Year for Habanos
After the 40th anniversary of
Cohiba, Cuban tobacco
authorities are celebrating
Tuesday an increase of quality
in the island´s cigars and the
closure of an excellent year.

Jimenez, co-presidents from
international company Habanos
S.A., told Prensa Latina of such
achievements, on the occasion of
the 8th International Habano
Festival, sessioning in this
capital from February 27 to
March 3.
This company is in charge of
distributing the hand-made Cuban
Premium cigar, with 340 trade
marks and 240 cigar brands, in
over 10 countries of the five
continents worldwide.
The co-presidents are proud of
the work developed by companies
Cubatabaco and Spanish-French
Altadis, emerged in 1994.
According to results, 2005 was a
successful year for Corporation
Habanos, with a larger
strengthening of the cigar
throughout the world.
