New Ecuador Criticizes Old Team
Pilfers
The Economy Minister-to be Raul
Patiño called for the Ecuadorian
government to stop making
contracts and awarding large
contracts at the last moment,
noted national press media
Monday.
"I ask President Alfredo Palacio
and the minister Jose Jouvin to
stop giving those kinds of
contracts and deliveries at the
last minute if they don't want
to have problems later" affirmed
Patiño.
He said that he is aware of the
fact that the current
authorities are taking large
sums of money in a hurry.
If acts of corruption, denounced
by some people close the future
government, are true they will
be sanctioned later, emphasized
the minister-to-be.
Patiño assured he is aware of an
840 million dollars deficit but
said that won't stop
president-elect Rafael Correa
from doing what he promised.
He finally said the state is
full of resources that must be
used first on those who need
them most.
