tourists with accurate travel
times in Costa Rica, Go Visit
Costa Rica launches its new
Costa Rica Travel Time Section.
A unique feature, here travelers
can find the travel times and
distances to and from various
cities all across the country.
What makes this feature so
unique is that this section
contains travel times to and
from key cities and towns all
across the country. Thus, making
it easier to get from one place
to the next, without any hassles
or worries.
Costa Rica is a small country
however many places can take a
longer amount of time to get to
than you may expect. The Go
Visit Costa Rica Time / Distance
Chart will give you a better
idea of how long it takes to get
to and fron your destination.
For example, the travel distance
between San José downtown and
Playa Jacó is rougly 117
kilometres (73 miles) but it
takes, according to the chart, 2
hours and 12 minutes. Quepos/Manuel
Antoion, another favourite
tourist destination is only 192
kilometres (120 miles) and the
travel time is 3 hours and 30
minutes.
Other favourite tourist
destinations (to and from San
José) are Tamarindo, 274 Km (
171 mi) 4 hours and 30 minutes;
Liberia, 217 Km (136 mi), 4
hours; Puerto Limón, 141 Km (88
mi) 3 hours and 30 minutes. The
list also included time /
distance between destinations
like Jacó and Puntarenas, making
travel planning easier.
Travel maps, for the most part,
indicate the distance between
points but do not state the
travel time, as the same
distance can vary in the actual
time it takes to travel,
depending on the topography and
condition of the route.
The list is pretty accurate and
the operators of the website say
they will update on a regular
basis. However, there are some
errors that need immediate
fixes, like Quepos/Jacó that
takes an hour at best to travel,
though the website states 2
hours, or the Dominical/Quepos
route which, if the road were in
good condition, would take 45
minutes, but in reality can take
as much as 2 hours.
