Costa Rica Soccer Team to Use
Uniforms from Italy
Costa Rica's national soccer
teams will use uniforms made by
Italian sporting goods
manufacturer Lotto, Milton
Castro, a secretary at the Costa
Rica Football Federation told
media on Wednesday.
The Federation's executive
committee, which leaves office
on Sept. 1, has made a firm
agreement with Lotto to design
and manufacture the uniforms,
replacing Spanish company Joma.
"We ended with Joma on very good
terms," said Castro, "We asked
Joma to allow us to use their
uniforms for our European
friendlies, and for the beach
football qualifying tournament,"
he added.
Costa Rica plays Austria on
Sept. 2 and Switzerland on Sept.
6. The beach football contest
runs from Sept. 13 to Sept. 17.
Lotto also has contracts to
supply Ukraine's and Serbia's
national teams.
