Head On Collision Between Father
and Son Send Both To Hospital
From the strange but true
department, a father and son
were involved in a collision
that sent both men and the
daughter-in-law to hospital.
The accident occurred Saturday
night in the area of Alfonso
XIII in Aserrí, south of San
José, where some 100 metres from
the local cemetery, Marvin
Godínez Díaz, accompanied by his
wife, Yadira Jiménez Chacón,
were on route to Aserrí from San
José violently crashed into a
vehicle driven by no less than,
Alexis Godínez Prado, father of
Marvin.
Alexis was on his way to San
José and driving on the wrong
side of the road when he
collided with his son's car.
The two vehicles hit each other
head on, waking up more than one
neighbour, who quickly alerted
the Cruz Roja (Red Cross) in
Aserrí
With the support of emergency
aid from San José, the "jaws of
life" were needed to extract
Alexis from his vehicle. All
three were rushed to the San
Juan de Dios hospital in San
José and are doing fine.
However, the accident left the
on scene Tránsito (traffic)
official, Minor Vargas, as to
