Faces US Critique
Ecuadorian Foreign Minister
Francisco Carrion has urged the
US to stop lashing out at his
nation and actively cooperate in
the anti-terror fight.
In response to Washington´s
criticism against Ecuadorian
efforts in his fight on this
whip, Carrion asserted that this
Andean state remains firm in its
principle of non-interference in
third states´ domestic affairs.
He said his country cannot
accept assertions such those in
the Department of State report
while rejecting that this
territory is paying the
consequences of an alleged
historical neglect of its
northern border.
The minister also rebuffed that
that zone supposedly turn into a
drug-terrorist area.
