Venezuela Reporters Back Revolution
The 1st National Meeting of Bolivarian Journalists will be held next month, with the recovery of the National Journalists College among its key topics.

The Fabricio Ojeda National Command of Bolivarian Journalists indicated the event will be inaugurated on May 8, with President Hugo Chavez among its guests.

The agenda will include the strengthening of the Venezuelan government´s communication policy and debates on the mass media´s role as an imperialist instrument in the war of communications.

The movement noted the meeting also intends to show "journalists who act with professionalism, responsibility, and ethics to allow the consolidation of the revolutionary process," reads the document signed by Freddy Balzan, Juan Antonio Aldasoro, Manuel Manrique, Aurelio Gil Beroes, Jesus Muchacho, and Ciro Quintero.
