Anti-Terrorism Tackled in Panama
A Ministerial Conference on
International Cooperation
against Terrorism and Organized
Crime is opening in Panama
Tuesday and will run till Friday

The objective of the meeting is
to bring strategies for the
international anti-terrorist
crusade up to date in Central
American countries, including
Colombia, Mexico, the Dominican
Republic and Panama, an official
source said.
The opening speech of the
meeting is expected to be
delivered by First Vice
President and Foreign Minister
of Panama Samuel Lewis.
According to Analysis of
Terrorist Actions and Related
Issues of the Foreign Ministry
of Panama director, Hady
Gonzalez, the host delegation is
to be led by former president,
current Ambassador to the
Organization of American States
Aristides Royo.
The meeting will be held at the
Caesar Park Hotel under the
joint sponsorship of the UN
Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC),
the OAS Inter-American Committee
against Terrorism (OEA-CICTE)
and the Panamanian Government.
